We’re Expanding!
We have some great news, Tiburon will be expanding!! Many of you know we spent months trying to get a new facility in Wellesley. In April, we made it to second place but lost out to Longfellow Tennis and Health Club.
Fortunately for us, the owner of the Longfellow Health Clubs, Laury Hammel, is an amazing local business owner who saw the value of bringing our swim program to the Wellesley pool and the local community. The Longfellow Health Clubs are an essential part of the Wayland and Natick communities, and we are excited to partner with them in Wellesley!
Beginning on September 1, 2024, Tiburon will be managing the pool at 140 Great Plain Avenue in Wellesley and running our program there, in addition to our current facility in Waltham. We're excited to open up more opportunities to swim in our program. We will now be able to bring in even more swimmers from our 3800 person waiting list. We want to get everyone in our community swimming!
We will send out an email on July 2nd about the enrollment process, what to expect, and how to ultimately enroll in our Fall program. This will include dates for each enrollment group.
EVERYONE who would like to book a spot higher than Level 1 needs to either have a progress report from within the past 6 months or schedule an evaluation. If your swimmer cannot swim and roll comfortably, confidently, and independently, then they would be considered Level 1. If your swimmer does not like putting their face in the water when they are swimming, they are considered Level 1.
See Level information below.
We will have 4 different enrollment groups. Within each group, those families who purchase a Family Membership to Longfellow Wellesly will move up priority inside of your enrollment grouping.
With a Family Membership comes:
Priority swimming scheduling within your group
Use of the Pool for Family Swim Times
The ability to book Tennis Classes and Courts
Use of the Facility
And more!
After your purchase of the Family Membership to the Longfellow Wellesley location, send us your proof of purchase so that we can move you up within your enrollment group. You can use the link below to send your proof of purchase.
The four enrollment groups will be:
Priority Swimmers who swam with us during the Fall/Winter/Spring 2023-2024 Season and either are currently swimming with us or paid the Summer Hold Fee.
Summer Swimmers. These are swimmers who are currently swimming in Summer weekly lessons, but did not swim with us this past spring. You can sign up for Summer Weekly Lessons below!
Swimmers on the waitlist who purchase a Family Membership to the Longfellow Wellesley location and send us proof of purchase.
All other swimmers on the waitlist.
Please answer the 3 question survey below regarding which location you prefer. You can also submit any questions you have at the end of the quick survey. This will help us gauge how many swimmers to expect at each location, and help us lay out our schedule accordingly.
Be on the lookout for our next email coming out on July 2nd!
If you have friends or family not yet on our waitlist, let them know that they have until 7/21 to enroll on our waiting list for an opportunity to get a space with us this fall.
