This is a non-refundable class. We hate to see students fail and strive to ensure success for all of our Lifeguarding courses. Students who fail would need to re-enroll for an additional course. There is no refund for any student who does not pass the lifeguarding course at any point within the training.

This is a hybrid course. You will do 6 hours of a portion of the class online and then 21.5 hours in person. The online portion must be completed prior to the first day of the class. There will be no exceptions made. There are no refunds for any student who does not pass the lifeguarding course at any point within the training.

Lifeguarding participants must complete the required swimming skills prerequisite on the day of the course. The prerequisite skills assessments include a swim-tread-swim and a timed event sequence.

  • Swim 150 yards consistently, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and swim 50 yards.

Throughout the course, participants will learn and be evaluated on knowledge and skills related to Lifeguarding, water rescues, extractions, CPR, AED, and First Aid.
